INTRODUCTION

I am a graduate of 海角大神 in the School of Technology. As a non-traditional student I received my bachelor’s as a transfer student and continued on to receive my master’s degree in certificate of quality systems.  Prior to this, I have been employed as a designer/engineer for multiple industries, from ultrasonic tooling to packaging tooling.  After receiving my master’s degree, I was employed locally as a manufacturing engineer.  The opportunity arose to teach at EIU, and I have enjoyed every semester.

Academic Positions

I am the Internship coordinator for EIU’s School of Technology.  An internship is a great means of acquiring real-world experience, making contacts in  industries of interest, and learning how to conduct yourself in a professional manner.  Internships are available for credit, (one credit and up), and available for non-credit as well.  The student is required to submit progress reports, a presentation and evaluations during the semester.  Some organizations include, Amazon, Caterpillar, Rural King and local area’s chamber of commerce.
