Former students and staff are always welcome to come back to campus for a visit. Every five years we host a reunion where several hundred former staff members come back to EIU. There are some activities that bring everyone together but the real fun is all the “mini reunions”. This is the perfect opportunity to get your group together.
Save the date and join University Housing & Dining Services, University Advancement, and the EIU Alumni Association for the third Housing Reunion this June 5-7, 2026. We hope you will join us and encourage your friends to do the same we were reconnect to celebrate our shared EIU experiences.
Schedule
Friday, June 5
- 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.: Reunion Check-in - McKinney Hall
- 4 p.m.: Four O’Clock Club - Marty’s
- 6 - 9 p.m.: Reunion Kickoff Celebration - Library Quad (registration required, fee associated)
Saturday, June 6
- 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.: Reunion Check-in - McKinney Hall
- ALL DAY: Design your own activities with your group
- Warren James Winery, Lake Charleston, Fox Ridge, etc.
- 9:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.: Campus Tours - Leaving from the Housing Office in MLK Union (registration required)
- 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Alumni and Staff Golf Outing (registration required, fee associated)
- Noon – Lunch on your own in the community
- 1 - 4 p.m.: Residence Hall Open Houses - Prowl around your old haunts (including Carman)
- 5 - 8 p.m.: Cocktail Hour & Celebration Banquet - Grand Ballroom, MLK Jr. Union (registration required, fee associated)
- 8:30 p.m.: After Party - Ike's
Sunday, June 7
- 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.: Check-out for those staying on campus

On-campus lodging will be available at McKinney or Stevenson Halls during the reunion. Registration for on-campus accomendations will open soon.
