The purpose of this fund is to provide faculty members in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences with assistance in the pursuit of their individual research or development activities, the presentation of special conferences or guest speakers, the development of study abroad activities, interdisciplinary programs/courses, and the advancement of technology in the classroom. The criteria are as follows: *Must be tenured, tenure-track or annually contracted faculty *Must submit a one to two page narrative outlining the purpose of the request and its potential impact upon the overall academic quality of their department *Selection will be based upon the overall quality of the proposal and its potential for contributing to the advancement of the academic programs in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences *Recipient shall be eligible to apply for and receive the award again provided s/he continues to meet the criteria stated above.
