EIU Homecoming 2026: Little Prince and Princess Candidate Application

Application & Photo Submission Deadline: 11:59PM on Sunday, September 20, 2026.
Rules & Regulations:

鈥� Contestants must be between 4 and 8 years old by Sunday, September 20, 2026, and must be current residents of Coles County

鈥� Contestants must be the child or sibling of a currently enrolled EIU student or EIU employee.

鈥� A recent headshot photo of the contestant must accompany the completed application. The photo can be any size, up to 8.5" x 11", in color or black and white.

鈥� Nominations and headshot photos must be submitted by Sunday, September 20, 2026.

鈥� Past winners of the EIU Homecoming Little Prince & Princess competition are not eligible to compete.

鈥� This is a fun contest, not a beauty pageant. Contestants will be voted on by members of the Homecoming Committee.

Coronation & Participation Requirements:

鈥� The 2026 EIU Homecoming Little Prince & Princess Crowning will take place during the Coronation Event at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 19, in the Grand Ballroom of the Martin Luther King Jr. University Union

鈥� Winners are required to participate in both the Coronation and Parade events.

鈥� Winners will receive participation awards/prizes, presented at the Coronation event. 聽

Judging:

鈥� Little Prince & Princess candidates will be voted on by the Homecoming Committee.

Waiver I hereby acknowledge that the personal data as shown on the application form is correct; and that I have read and understand the EIU HC Little Prince & Princess Contest General Rules. I hereby grant permission to the 2024 EIU Homecoming Committee to use my child鈥檚 photographs for publicity/promotional purposes in any and all EIU Homecoming media. Furthermore, I hereby acknowledge that I have read the official rules and regulations and agree to the following; my child agrees to abide by all of the rules of the EIU Homecoming Little Prince & Princess Contest now in effect or hereafter to be announced.
