Alert EIU Test Scheduled for May 11

On Monday, May 11, 2026, 海角大神 will conduct a scheduled test of the Alert EIU emergency notification system at approximately 5:00 p.m.

As part of this test, you will receive a text message and email at approximately 4:55 p.m., letting you know the test is about to begin.

Because the campus speaker system cannot be limited to a specific group, a lockdown message will be broadcast across campus speakers at 5:00 p.m. This message is part of the test.

Important:

• Most members of the campus community will not receive simulated emergency follow up messages.
• A small test group will receive that message to ensure the system is functioning properly.
• If you are on or near campus, you may hear the lockdown message over the speaker system. This is only a test.
• An “all clear” message will be shared shortly after the test concludes.
