Subject: EIU will move to Microsoft MFA starting February 2
Beginning the week of February 2, EIU will transition all employees from Duo to Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication.聽 IT will email you when your account is eligible to migrate.
The setup takes about 15 minutes and must be completed by February 27.
Microsoft MFA is included in EIU鈥檚 existing license, which lowers costs and helps us maintain services without increasing student fees.

Will this disrupt my work?
No. You have four weeks to migrate at a time that works for you.
What if I don鈥檛 migrate by February 27?
Your account will be automatically migrated the week of March 2, and you will need to set up Microsoft MFA before accessing EIU systems.
Can I switch to Microsoft MFA right now?
No. IT will email you when your account is eligible to migrate. This migration will happen sometime during the week of February 2nd.
Can I still use Duo during the transition?
Yes. Both options will work until February 27.聽 Once you migrate to Microsoft MFA all future MFA requests will utilize Microsoft MFA.聽聽
What if I use a YubiKey?
Continue using Duo for now. More information for YubiKey users is coming soon.
