Quantum entanglement, according to Erwin Schrödinger the essence of quantum mechanics, is a unique feature of the quantum world. Our research is devoted to studying its fundamental properties and implications for the foundations of Physics. We are working on implementing quantum entanglement for new quantum information applications. This group is in the construction stage but we do have a grant and are acquiring state of the art equipment to pursue this research. This is a very exciting time for Quantum entanglement research at EIU because all participants will get in at the ground floor and learn all aspects of the research process.
